Bachelor Energy Engineering
About this course
What you learn You learn about thermal and electrical energy engineering, offshore energy systems, underwater drones, mechatronics and control engineering. You also learn how energy is converted, and you learn how to make energy solutions that are more sustainable and efficient. You combine theory with practical project work and laboratory exercises, and you work on real-life challenges from the energy sector. Mathematics is an important tool for engineers and is used for calculations and models, and you will see that you will use your mathematics skills to a great extent in practice. Why you should study Energy Engineering This programme is for those who are passionate about sustainability and energy solutions. You work with the latest technologies in energy production. You learn to design and optimize systems like wind turbines, solar cells, Power-to-X and energy storage. From the fifth semester, you choose your specialisation: Dynamic Systems Thermal Processes Career opportunities With a Bachelor’s in energy engineering, you can work on the development and optimization of e.g. offshore wind turbines, Power-to-X, HVAC (HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) or underwater drones. You will be able to work at companies like Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, TotalEnergies, European Energy, and Ørsted.
