The Doctoral Programme in Nursing Science (DPNurs) educates researchers of nursing science for the national and international needs of the research field, as well as for social and health services, education, business, and industry. DPNurs supports expertise required in research activities and systematic career development in nursing science. The Doctoral Programme in Nursing Science is well known for its research and education both nationally and internationally. DPNurs is an integral part of the University of Turku Department of Nursing Science, which is among the best corresponding units in Finland and in Europe.
