Solu- ja molekyylibiologian opinnoissa perehdyt solujen ja mikrobien rakenteeseen ja toimintaan sekä harjoittelet moderneja laboratoriomenetelmiä. Opiskelet elämän toimintaperiaatteita keskittyen etenkin mikrobiologiaan, virologiaan ja proteiinien rakenteisiin. Opit suunnittelemaan ja tekemään laboratoriokokeita ja analysoimaan suuria tietomääriä. Saat valmiudet myös geenitekniikan ja nanobiologian tutkimustehtäviin. Yhdistämällä opintoihisi matematiikkaa, tietotekniikkaa, fysiikkaa, kemiaa tai kauppatieteitä saat monipuoliset valmiudet erilaisiin asiantuntijatehtäviin esimerkiksi biolääketieteen, liikuntatieteiden, kaupan, teollisuuden tai hallinnon parissa.
