About this course

An education for the future Do you want to study biotechnology in a study environment with a unique collaboration between University College Absalon and the biotech industry, consisting of world leading companies? You will gain knowledge in chemistry, biotechnology, mathematics, and technological processes. This can be applied in the production of medicines, food, enzymes, and materials. Other biotechnological processes that you will learn about include the purification of wastewater and the transformation of waste into sustainable products or energy. You will be acquainted with methods used in the field of biotechnology of industrial production. Moreover, you will also obtain knowledge of engineering principles relevant to the processing of materials by microorganisms or plant and animal cells. Student life at Campus Kalundborg In Kalundborg, you will be part of a close and highly dedicated student environment. Together with an engaged student council, which you can also join, we ensure Friday afternoon social get-togethers, bowling trips and summer social events. Our campus opened in 2021, right next to the major biotech companies and next to Helix Lab, where master projects comes to life in state of the art facilities.
