INVEST Master’s degree program in Public Mental Health (MPMHInvest) is part of INVEST Research Flagship funded by Academy of Finland. Our Master's degree programme focuses on epidemiology, mental health service systems, prevention and interventions for children, adolescents, young adults and families. Special focus will be given to research on interventions based on new technological solutions such as digital platforms, artificial intelligence and virtual reality. The Master's Degree Programme in Public Mental Health offers a comprehensive exploration of mental health service systems, prevention strategies, and interventions for children, adolescents, and families. Hosted by the Research Centre for Child Psychiatry, this two-year program provides students with the necessary tools to address challenges in mental health. In the Master’s Degree Programme you will learn to assess and address mental health disparities among diverse populations, including vulnerable and marginalized groups.acquire skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating community-based interventions for children, adolescents, and families aimed at promoting mental health.gain a comprehensive understanding of the ethical, legal, and cultural considerations inherent in public mental health research and practice, with a focus on promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. These objectives aim to enhance students' abilities to effectively contribute to the field of public mental health. The curriculum emphasizes research methodologies, health service systems, and evidence-based interventions, preparing graduates for careers in epidemiology, research, and healthcare administration. Upon completion, graduates receive a Master of Science (MSc) degree, positioning them to contribute to the advancement of mental health initiatives worldwide. With a focus on practical skills, subject-specific expertise, and global networking opportunities, our program offers a fulfilling career path in mental health advocacy and services. The Programme gives a strong basis to continue studies towards a PhD degree.
