About this course
Our societies are confronted by a variety of overlapping societal and political challenges. One is the rise of new digital technologies. It offers solutions to some existing challenges such as population ageing but also poses new ones, such as digital exclusion. We need bold and insightful decision-makers who can critically evaluate these challenges from different theoretical perspectives and analyse empirical data to develop and inform their decisions. The Master’s Programme in Digital Social Science prepares you to be such a decision maker across various sectors of society. This master's programme will expose you to theories to help you understand and evaluate current and future challenges involving new digital technologies. You will learn to use social sciences research methodology, various data sources, and digital tools to explore and analyse these challenges.
