About this course

The Faculty of Mathematics and Science at the University of Jyväskylä is located in the beautiful lakeside scenery of Lake Jyväsjärvi, a short walk or bike ride from the city center. Our faculty is an active and visible social actor and a desired partner, known as an international and high-quality scientific community. We train researchers, experts, and teachers in biological and environmental science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics and data science. Our education is based on high-level experimental and theoretical research that is scientifically influential and internationally recognized. Our goal is to achieve scientific breakthroughs through long-term research. Our doctoral education is based on research conducted in international research groups at our departments. Each doctoral researcher works as part of a research group and is part of the academic research community.
