About this course

Description At the beginning of the semester, the student will be presented with the methods and principles that are associated with the work of using typefaces, typography and lettering in the communication process, and the methods and principles that are used to prepare digital fonts. Afterwards, the student will plan and conduct user research as a method to acquire insights into using complicated user-centred design projects. As a result, the student will be able to design pursuant to the acquired insights as well as the company's brand and understand how the design choices impact the users' view of the company. Finally, the student will work with the principles that are the basis of verbo-visual communication and know and use the most common methods of designing infographics. Know the basics of graphic communication and design. Have a graphic portfolio (in digital form as pdf-files) Have a good command of CS4 software. Be interested in mastering the technology used for graphic design. Have a good command of the English language, both written and oral All courses are taught in English. Participants must have a good command of the English language, both written and oral. If you are a citizen in a EU country, you need to be enrolled at a home institution/university in order to apply for the course.
