About this course

Description This semester combines journalistic training with intensive studies. In the course of an intensive one-semester programme you will do international reporting, EU reporting, you will learn about risk reporting and expand your view on world politics. You conclude your work with an individual multimedia production based on a research trip in or outside Denmark. Cource aims Take your expressional skills to a new level by incorporating multimedia elements in your journalism. Master basic methods in news journalism and gain knowledge of specific methods in global journalism and international news gathering. Knowledge of the risk reporter’s tools of trade and working conditions in areas of crisis and conflict and to understand important aspects of the media’s role in modern conflict. Increase your knowledge of EU affairs in general and of EU-reporting in particular. Knowledge about EU institutions, decision-making processes and how to work as a correspondent inside and outside Brussels. Gain knowledge of the history of Europe, the history of the EU, and the European integration process. Gain knowledge of world politics. Experience the work of a foreign correspondent. Develop your journalistic skills by working and studying in an atmosphere that combines practical teaching with academic studies. Offer you the opportunity of lifelong professional and personal bonds by being part of a group of students from all over the world. Admission To apply for the course Journalism, Multimedia and World Politics you must have: a minimum of 1 year training in journalism (advanced undergraduate program) a good command of the English language, both written and oral Language requirements All courses are taught in English. Participants must have a good command of the English language, both written and oral. Non-native English speakers should include a copy of their TOEFL test results (minimum score 550 or computer based 80)/ IELTS test of 6.5 or have the test results sent to our address). Tuition There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students outside EU, EAA, or from Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
