About this course

Description The MSc programme in Agriculture is a broad programme targeted at students who are interested in the potentials of plants for the benefit of humans and in agriculture as a human activity. In the two-year MSc programme you specialize in either Plant Science or in Production and Environment. You can also choose the joint European programme in Environmental Sciences (EnvEuro). Read more about the specialisations The aim is to educate graduates who are capable of conducting research, developing innovative solutions and improving systems within the fields of plant science, production systems, natural resource use and environmental impacts. Read more about the programme structure Career Opportunities Depending on specialisation, graduates pursue a wide range of careers: National and international advice and consultancy service in crop production, nature and environment, in the horticultural and agricultural sector Research, innovation and product development of plants, plant protection and environmental technologies in public institutions, private businesses or in own enterprise Policy development, implementation and administration related to plant production, nature conservation, environment and related technologies in the public sector, e.g. in ministries and municipalities and in private stakeholder organisations, including international NGOs Teaching and communication in universities or agricultural schools or to the broader public Admission The following BSc Programmes from University of Copenhagen qualify graduates directly for admission to the MSc Programme in Agriculture: BSc in Natural Resources (naturressourcer) (all core modules). Students holding relevant BSc degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Science, Natural Resources, Geography, Environmental Science and similar are admitted provided their degree satisfy at least two of the three requirements: 7,5 ECTS credits within biology or ecology 7,5 ECTS credits within natural resources (soil, water, etc.) 7.5 ECTS credits within economy or regulation An individual assessment of whether the graduate meets the requirements will be carried out. In addition, documentation may be required verifying that your proficiency in English is at a specified level.
