Student Reviews
Representative reviews"Would do it again"
Coming here has changed how I think. The best part: the cohort are bright and motivated, which makes the learning environment great. If I'm honest, some seminar groups were too big for meaningful discussion. On the city โ housing is the one real problem: start looking months before arrival. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
"Exceeded expectations"
The course has exceeded my expectations. The best part: the teaching staff are genuinely world-class and accessible. If I'm honest, first-year classes can be quite large. On the city โ English is universal; you don't need Dutch for the first year. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
"Exceeded expectations"
I've grown so much academically and personally here. The best part: access to facilities (workshop, equipment, specialist software) is genuinely first-rate. If I'm honest, a few modules feel under-resourced compared to the flagship ones. On the city โ everything works โ public transport, cycling, healthcare, admin. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
"A great decision"
The course has exceeded my expectations. The best part: the opportunity to do independent research in the final year is a highlight. If I'm honest, admin can be slow to respond, especially at start of term. On the city โ everything works โ public transport, cycling, healthcare, admin. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
"Solid, with caveats"
There's a lot to love, but it's not without its flaws. The best part: the final show is a proper platform โ industry people come to see it. If I'm honest, first-year classes can be quite large. On the city โ everything works โ public transport, cycling, healthcare, admin. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
"Solid, with caveats"
It's been a mixed experience, but mostly positive. The best part: the final show is a proper platform โ industry people come to see it. If I'm honest, accommodation allocation was stressful in the first year. On the city โ housing is the one real problem: start looking months before arrival. Overall, if you're considering Environmental Sciences at Open Universiteit, I'd say go for it.
